Registration Information

*TOTS (first time dancers ages 3 & 4): This is a weekly 45 minute class of ballet, tap, jazz and tumbling. The monthly fee is $50. These students need tan tap shoes & pink ballet shoes. We will order t-shirts costing $20 for all performances/parades.

* PRESCHOOL (4 yr. olds w/1 yr. experience), & BEGINNER (K-1st): This is a weekly 1 hour class of ballet, tap, jazz & tumbling. The monthly fee is $55. These students need tan tap shoes & pink ballet shoes. We will order t-shirts costing $20 for all performances/parades.

*INTERMEDIATE (2nd grade): This is a weekly 1 hour combination class of Ballet or Tap and/or Jazz/Tumbling. These students need tan tap shoes & pink ballet shoes. We will order t-shirts costing $20 for all performances/parades.

*ADVANCED (3rd-4th), APPRENTICE (5th & 6th) TEEN (7th & older): Each level is a weekly 1 hour class of contemporary, tap, jazz, hip hop, ballet technique, and/or pointe (pointe is by instructor approval). The monthly fee is $55 for 1 class, $90 for 2 classes, $115 for 3 classes, or $135 for 4 classes and $150 for unlimited classes. Students enrolled in jazz need black gore boots or black jazz sneakers costing $40 & studio t-shirt costing $20-25 to wear for any performances & may be worn to class. Students enrolled in ballet/lyrical need tan footundeez costing $25. Students enrolled in tap need black jazz-tap shoes.

DANCE ATTIRE & SHOES: The dance pants & studio t-shirt is dance attire that can only be purchased through us. We can order shoes, dance attire, & tights anytime during the year and they must be paid for in advance. Keep in mind that appropriate dance attire & shoes are required at every class as well as your hair should be pulled back out of your eyes. If you are in a ballet class, you must wear a skirt!

LESSON FEES: The monthly fee is a flat fee. The fee remains the same whether it is a long (5-week) or short (3-week) month & regardless of absences. Lesson fees will be billed to you at the end of each month and are due by the 5th of the following month. There will be a $20 service fee on any returned checks and a $20 fee on late payments (payment is due first week of each month). NOTE: Any family member having more than one student enrolled in classes will receive a 10% discount off the total monthly fee for the second child only.

PARADES/PERFORMANCES/RECITAL & RECITAL COSTUMES: We will be participating in local community events throughout the dance year and will notify you of these events as soon as they are scheduled. The date and time of the 2011 Recital is Monday, June 13 at 7 p.m. at Thrasher Horne. All performances are voluntary except for the recital, in which you are EXPECTED to perform. Students will have one costume (per class) ordered for the recital ranging from $50 to $75. We bill for a costume deposit (approximately half) due in November and a costume balance due in December. Costume fees are non-refundable! Costumes will be ordered during the Christmas holidays and will arrive no later than the middle of April.

Please note: There is a registration fee of $25 per family and a recital Fee of $75 per student (includes recital t-shirt!). We are asking that you pay your registration fee and recital fee at the time of registration. The registration fee is for the enrollment of students into our studio. The recital fee pays for the cost of putting on the recital each year in a nice facility in lieu of charging admission. It also aids in the costs of awards, props, etc. incurred when putting on the recital each year. The registration and recital fees are non-refundable.

COMMUNICATION/HOLIDAYS: All information about holidays, performances, parades, etc. will be on or attached to the invoice each month. Holidays will generally follow the Clay County School schedule.

ATTENDANCE: Attendance will be taken in each class and special recognition will be given at the end of the year for perfect attendance. Good attendance is imperative! If a dancer misses a class it may be made up in a comparable class. The studio reserves the right to combine classes if at any time during the year class enrollment is less than 8 students per class.

CLASS OBERVATION: Class observation is permitted only by viewing through the “window” in the waiting room. We ask that you please stay as quiet as possible because the wall is open to the studio from the waiting room. Please remember that you will have the opportunity to see your child’s progress at the performances during the year.

INSURANCE: All-Starz Dance Studio does not carry medical insurance for its students. It is REQUIRED that all students be covered by their own family insurance policies and if injury occurs it is understood that the student’s own policy is your ONLY source of reimbursement.
